Samsung Galaxy S9 Features and Specs
Firstly we discussion about the features and specs, below we mentioned the Galaxy S9’s expected, rumored or leaked specs and features with full details;
Galaxy S9 design and display
Samsung Galaxy S9 will be manufactured in a beautiful style, quite similar to Galaxy S8. Shiny Metal body will be used in fabrication and it will be offered in Black, Gold, Grey, and Blue or more. Its look will be eye-catching to attract more users. When the Galaxy S8 was launched it was IP68 certified so for the Samsung S9 we hope it will also bring this tech and will handle water resistant and splashes easily. The bezels will be smaller than before and the edge-to-edge display will remain be pretty. According to expert reviews, there is a large front facing screen having the aspect ratio of 18.5:9 higher than the S8’s 18:9 ratio display. No button but the sensors on the display works brilliantly. It is rumored that the traditional Super AMOLED display will be replaced with OLED display and the fingerprint sensor will be equipped in it. Fingerprint reader can also be equipped on the back. The display supports HDR features which mean the smartphone will show more accurate colors. The Resolution will be Ultra HD to beat its competitors in showing brightest and sharpest scenes. It will describe your animations in true meanings. You will have not need to use Gear VR to support 4K pictures and movies, and you can enjoy animations perfectly on S9.
Galaxy S9 chipset and processor
Analysts have different suggestions about the chipset of Galaxy S9 and we will have option to choose either of Snapdragon 845 or Exynos 9 series 8895 SoC. Samsung used Snapdragon 835 chipset in Galaxy S8 so if we follow the previous pattern the Galaxy S9 will get Snapdragon 845 but the SD845 has not yet released, Qualcomm and LG (for its LG G7) working together on this future chip, while the Exynos 8895 has come up so it may possible that Samsung will put its own fastest Exynos chipset in new Galaxy S9. According to Samsung, Exynos 8895 SoC can support 10nm Octa core processor, Mali-G71 MP20 GPU, UHD display, fastest LTE Cat modem, massive storage, dual backside cameras, 4K recording, and USB C 3.1, by keeping in view these features we can expect that Galaxy S9 can get Exynos 8895 10nm processor. If Snapdragon 845 will be released before the 2018’s flagship launch than it can be said that the Samsung S9 will get it. According to the rumors, Qualcomm SD845 will be able to support high-end points of the technology, dual rear cameras and will run all new upgrade features and will show much faster performance than the SD835. Most of the public want to see Snapdragon 845 in upcoming star but stay to know what will be done by the manufacturer.
Galaxy S9 camera
Samsung’s Galaxy S9 is reported to have dual vertically-oriented cameras on the back. Both lenses will work wonderfully and show ever best performance. According to the Korean IT site, ET News, Samsung has developed its own camera sensors which can shoot 1,000 pictures in a second. It is so amazing that a moment can shoot splendidly thousand times without time consumption. It is silently indicates to Galaxy S9’s dual cameras which the ET news mentioned Samsung own camera sensors. As we already have told that the Exynos 8895 and Snapdragon 845 both can support dual camera sensors so it’s not impossible for Galaxy S9 to have dual shooters on the back. Samsung recently unveils two camera sensors and a new report claims that one of the dual cameras of S9 is ISOCELL 2L9 and the other is ISOCELL 2X7. According to Gadgets NDTV, the ISOCELL Fast 2L9 and ISOCELL Slim 2X7 Camera Sensors will have 12MP and 24MP resolution respectively. The 24MP lens has 1μm pixel size (Samsung says smaller size will not affect on quality) and the 12MP sensor has 1.28μm pixel size. Both will give admirable performance. About the zoom capability, some suggests that Galaxy S9 will have same zoom resolution which is present in Galaxy S8. But mostly speculations are that the Galaxy S9 will have 10x zoom capability that will help to beat Apple iPhone in shooting performance. Other camera features include OIS, Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, 9MP image and 4K video recording. It seems that the Galaxy S8’s selfie camera will be used for Galaxy S9 with a slightly better improvement.
Samsung S9 OS, Battery and other specs
As we all know that Android 8.0 OS has come up so it’s clear point that Samsung will use Android 8.0 or 8.1 Oreo update for its 2018 flagship. Android 8.0 Oreo is perfect and best OS than ever. According to Android itself, the Android 8.0 Oreo OS is 2x faster, minimize background apps activity, and has supersonic AutoFill, picture-in-picture support, improved Notification Dots Android Instant Apps, Google Play Protection, saves more battery, Emoji including 60 new, and much more.
As far as battery is concerned, Galaxy S8 came with 3000mAh battery while the S8 Plus arrived with 3500mAh battery but for a successor flagship of new era we expect that the Galaxy S9 will feature a 4000mAh battery to offer a long lasting period for more advantages.
Galaxy S9 Memory
Though Samsung has not yet revealed anything about Galaxy S9’s memory, but many rumors and leaks giving a pretty cool idea. Mostly speculations are that the Samsung Galaxy S9 will follow the path of Galaxy Note 8 in memory section. It means the S9 will get 6GB RAM and 64GB Storage. But the users requirement has been increased therefore we hope Samsung will offer one more variant which will have 8GB RAM and 128GB Storage. MicroSD slot will also be given to enlarge more so you will be able to store everything without fear of run out of space.
Samsung Galaxy S9 will bring the same connectivity tech which was introduced in Galaxy S8. Connectivity options will not be changed. There you will find traditional GSM / HSPA / LTE technology, Wifi and dual cellular network support but it is possible that CDMA and EVDO options will also be available. To sync data, NFC, USB Type C, Bluetooth v5.0, infrared port, and other similar options will be there.
Samsung Galaxy S9 will sport Al Bixby digital assistant which will be improved to make it easier to perform tasks just with your voice. A report from a reliable source telling that next time (in S9) Bixby assistant will support more languages than before which means this time more natives can access Bixby without speaking English. Samsung team is working on Bixby continuously and it is likely that Galaxy S9’s Bixby will bring something new. To access bixby in Galaxy S9 a dedicated button or sensor will be equipped there.
Coming toward sensors, the Galaxy S9 will have very useful and powerful sensors including Iris scanner, fingerprint (front-mounted), accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, barometer, heart rate, and SpO2. Pedometer sensor is also suggested to be use there. Here’s a question pop up in my mind that the Iris scanner is Galaxy S8 even accepts face images to unlock device and it is unsecure but for Galaxy S9 Samsung may solve this problem or use another sensor instead of Iris scanner. Apple has already presented a remarkable face unlock security in iPhone X so the competition for Samsung has become tougher in this field to beat its challenger.
What we can expect new?
We received a new report that is claiming that the Samsung Galaxy S9 will have a new Environmental sensor to check out the air pollution.
