Google Dropped Price of USB-C to 3.5mm Headphone Jack Adapter for Pixel 2

Google has dropped the price of USB-C cable of Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL. The dongle is used as a 3.5mm headphone adapter and it was launched formerly this month along with the Google Pixel 2 and Google Pixel 2 XL. The company wants to offer latest products to its existing and new customers.

The introductory price of the USB-C to 3.5mm dongle was $20 but now Google dropped down prices to $9. These prices match with the Apple's homemade lightening to 3.5mm headphone jack dongle. When the Google dongle was launched many customers were not happy with the high prices. Several customers said that Apple’s lightening to 3.5mm headphone jack dongle doesn’t come with the high price tag.

After the launch of iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus Apple gave the discount on its lightening cable for a couple of weeks. After launching Google Pixel 2, and Google 2 Pixel the company has become the latest smartphone giant who has replaced the 3.5mm audio jack with the USB-C in its smartphones. The company doesn’t mention that users can buy dongle by paying extra $9 so it should be mentioned outside of the box. After mentioning this it would be easier for customers to take a buying decision.

Consumers who used the 3.5mm headphone jack for listening Music will have to buy another different accessory.  These accessories are available for purchase in a few countries so we expect that the company will ship USB-C to 3.5mm dongle soon globally. People who want to buy the dongle can buy it from Google official store according to their country.
